FAQ
What is Lawson State's FAFSA school code?
Our federal school code is 001025. Enter this code on the FAFSA to ensure your application is sent to us.
When should I submit the FAFSA?
As early as October 1 for the following academic year. Lawson State awards aid on a first-come, first-served basis for some programs, so submitting early is important.
Do I need to be a full-time student to receive aid?
No. Aid amounts are prorated by enrollment status. Students enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) are eligible for the full Pell Grant award.
What if my financial situation has changed since I filed taxes?
Contact the Financial Aid Office. You may be able to submit a Special Circumstances appeal to have your aid recalculated based on current income.
Does Lawson State offer loans?
Lawson State does not participate in the Federal Direct Loan program. We focus on grant aid — money you do not have to repay.
